2021 QUEENSLAND STATE H.O.G. RALLY
The 2021 Queensland State HOG Rally will now happen in Rockhampton from 2 April to 5 April 2021.
The event will be held in conjunction with Rockynats.
Unlike previous mixed type events, Rockynats is owned by the Rockhampton City Council with the event component being managed by Rockynats which is the same company that runs both SummerNats and WinterNats.
RockyNats have a full schedule of events which includes a grand parade of bikes and cars, drags for cars and bikes, burnout pad provided by the local HD dealer plus vendors, and the entire town to explore. COVID permitting there will be nighttime entertainment provided as part of the event.
In addition, HOG members can have a meal provided by Rocky HOG Chapter at the local dealer – this will be free (alcohol will be user pays), there will be guided rides, Bike games, thunder run and on the Monday for those still around a poker run all organised by Rocky and Central Highlands Chapters.
Registration for the event will be $50 per person which will include at least t/shirt. All registrations will be through the Rocknats web page although I would suggest that members hold off registering until we can have the necessary changes made to the registration page to record HOG details and given that we have only received approval this week for the rally the necessary changes probably won’t be made until after 6th January 2021. There will be no additional charges for the HOG Rally component of the event.
I would advise however that if HOG members want to attend the rally that they secure accommodation as soon as possible. There will be camping available at the showgrounds, again this is being provided by Rockynats and can be booked through their web page. We have been advised at this stage camping will be $70 per night for a 6m x 6m site. Bikes will be able to have up to four tents on these sights, possibly more if COVID restrictions are eased further.
We are currently having some posters designed and they will be forwarded to you as soon as they are available.
A full schedule of events will be provided once completely locked in and check out www.rockynats.com.au
Again, I cannot stress enough that accommodation will get very tight the closer to the event, so I would recommend book accommodation first and worry about registering for the rally in the new year.
